Bau Design is a collaborative building company in which client, designer, and builder contribute to ensure a unique, well executed project.  We have expertise in commercial and residential work including new construction, additions, accessory dwelling units, remodels, kitchens and bathrooms. We design with simplicity and understand design principals as a narrative that runs through the entire building process. We work closely with our clients to identify the most important aspects of their proposal thereby defining the best tailored plan for a given vision and budget.

Design Build

What is design build? 

It is where the designer and builder are aligned and operate under one contract.  This arrangement allows for the design intentions to be directly expressed and regulated throughout the building process.  Many aesthetic decisions are made by the builder both in material selection, detailing and finishes.  Therefore an alignment between designer and builder help ensure the original vision is realized.  

As a design build firm, we provide planning and building oversight and continuity during all phases of construction to ensure all decisions are consistent with the initial design concept. While offering in house design and building services we are also happy to work with an architect of your choosing .

Design Development - Resolution of ideas with greater detail 

Cost Estimate - Cost estimate can be done at this point

Engineering - Specifies structural aspect of project

Permit Set - Develop working drawings and submission of the plans for city approval
